NHS Yorkshire and the Humber, the Strategic Health Authority, has
appointed Leeds based design firm The Consult to create style guidelines
for all of its Primary Care Trusts' public consultation documents.
The consultation documents form part of a major push by the Authority to
increase patient and public involvement in the planning and development
of NHS services in the region.
“Producing guidelines for an Authority of this size is a big job." says
The Consult creative director Alex Atkinson. “There are 14 Primary Care
Trusts under the NHS Yorkshire and the Humber umbrella, each of them
producing their own consultation documents. Our remit was to create a
central resource that each Trust can utilise, ensuring a consistent look
and feel."
We've just found out we've been nominated for the Fresh Creative Awards 2007. The Awards, celebrating the best in UK design and advertising, will be announced in Manchester in October. Our first glimpse of the competition will be on 11th September when the nominations exhibition comes to the Yorkshire Post offices in Leeds.
The Consult was recently invited to hold workshops to help Foundation Studies students with their end of year show promotional materials. From these the students developed a great brochure/fold-out poster and we developed the logotype and this holographic foiled VIP invite.
We're proud to say we have come back from the other side of the Pennines triumphant! Our Leeds College of Art & Design prospectus won the Gold Award for Best Further Education Prospectus at this year’s Heist Awards.
The Heist Awards has rewarded good marketing practice throughout its 18-year history. Acknowledged throughout further and higher education as the premier and most prestigious awards programme in education marketing, we’re over the moon to have won this top award.

New branding for CentraStage
We've launched the branding for Reading based technology company CentraStage. CentraStage has designed a framework that enables the delivery of low-cost managed IT services to schools and SMEs. Our branding and design work can be seen on their newly launched website, also designed by us.
Football book and website launched
We've just rolled out the POS campaign and website for this year's hottest football book – My Football Year. Having worked closely with the publishing company on a number of projects, we were chosen to design an interactive book that every football fan would love to own. Each book can be totally customised so you can write your own rose-tinted match reports!!

RAR Recommends The Consult
The Consult is pleased to announce our appointment to the Recommended Agency Register (RAR). RAR is complied from independent research, with this year seeing over 1000 clients talk about the agencies they use. RAR then uses these scores to impartially score agencies and advise companies on the best agency match to their brief.
Our clients scored us exceptionally well with particularly high ratings for creativity, account handling, overall professionalism, value for money and strategic thinking.
Account Win
The Consult has won a three way pitch to create the identity and a range of literature for a new college launching in 2008. We've commissioned David Thompson at Pigeon Press to create illustrations and we'll be posting updates soon.
In the meantime David has a short animation in the running to be part of a new BBC Three comedy sketch to broadcast later this year. Visit BBC Three's website where you can view David's animation 'Daddy Cool' and vote for your fav animation.
North of England Design Consultancy of the Year 2007
The Robert Horne North of England Design Consultancy of the Year Awards were held recently in Manchester. The Awards are an annual poll with over 1000 clients asked to name and review the best Agencies in the key centres outside London. The Consult were delighted to feature in the Client Satisfaction Poll, coming seventh.
