Helping the UK's fashion & textiles industry reach 1.5m people.
Skillfast-UK, the Sector Skills Council for fashion & textiles, tasked us with demonstarting that fashion and textiles is alive and kicking in the UK by designing a campaign to highlight the high level of textile based skills held here; and the need to maintain and enhance these to push the industry forward.
Our remit was to generate a name, create the identity, design all supporting literature and a travelling exhibition.
We were delighted when iconic brands including Mulberry and Jasper Conran agreed to play a major part; and more so when luminaries of the fashion world including Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman, along with several MPs, took time out from their busy schedules to support the London launch.
Result
The Behind the Seams wider campaign generated national press coverage in the Independent on Sunday, The Guardian and Drapers, with total coverage seen by a circulation of 1.5 million people.
Following a tour of the UK the exhibition will soon be a permanent exhibition for Leeds Industrial Museums.
